I'm using this GP for more then 4 years now, and every single time that I go and see this doc, I have an outstanding account. I keep on giving them my latest contact details as well as my address and other information that they require, but NOT ONCE have they called to tell me that the medical aid did not pay them the full amount, instead they leave the account outstanding and ASSUME that I do not want to pay. When I eventually did go and see the doctor again, the receptionist said that she cannot find my file, because it has been HANDED OVER TO THEIR ATTORNEYS. I was in complete SHOCK! No phone call, no sms, so how the was I supposed to have known that I owe them a R50 (WOW)? I paid it, saw the doc and left. I promised myself that the next time I go and see this Doc, that I will personally go to his office and enquire about my account, because they will hand me over for a R20 or something stupid like that. I did exactly that. ONCE AGAIN, I had an outstanding account. NO PHONE CALL, NOTHING! I just paid my outstanding balance and guess WHAT? I get a phone call from the attorneys taking legal action against me. Get rid of the incompetent staff members! So disgusted right now!!!
