Two years ago my wife and I visited dr van Huysteen. The medical aid apparently didn't pay the whole amount and our account was transferred to an attorney without notice because the doctor was at the time selling his practice in Sasolburg and couldn't walk the extra mile to phone his patients and inform them that there was an outstanding amount to be paid. Not even the attorneys informed me with such outstanding amount I had to find it out for myself from the credit bureau where my name is listed as a judgement. When I phoned dr Righardt he said he can't do anything about it, he also admitted that they had to get rid of all outstanding accounts by handing them over to the attorneys as he was selling his practice and didn't have time to sort out those accounts. This is unacceptable as the incorrect process was followed. You can't just go around to black list people and not informing them of amounts owing to you. I will be taking this to the medical board as well as my attorney!
