10 years being contracted to Discovery Health I had taken a life plan & acquired my gym benefit on a lifetime contract with a 24 rolling visit. Over the years I had the benefit of reminders via e-mail if visits were not enough. A useful tool to have especially with a hectic lifestyle owning & running a business with 2 children & studying. Over the years I added on my husband and 2 children to the health plan & a life plan for my husband. In the last 5 years I had 2 more children & acquired a franchised business. I was hospitalised in January 2013, with NO visits allocated! I experienced the death of my gran in March 2013 & NO visits allocated. I have had the flu in total 3 times so far! My gym benefit is cancelled with NO warning e-mail. Many queries later at Discovery I was told by a Matthew that I would not be covered for any visits if I had the flu and I had to exercise, & if I did provide a doctors letter then I was NOT allowed to have the flu for more than 2 weeks! I was short 2 visits from the 36 visits NOW stipulated. I also noted visits missing on my Feb total compared to my exercise schedule. Will they actually pay out when I die or look for loopholes to keep my money?!
