Discovery Vitality is just trying to make money out of their members. I have been a loyal healthy client for more than 13 years. I have never even been hospitalised. I had the 2010 benefit of joining Virgin Active free of charge (just paying a once off joining fee). I received a call from virgin active trying to SELL me a new membership, because I was kicked of the 2010 benefit for reaching 33 visits and not 36 visits in a 1 year period (as a jog) - I was not even notified that I was kicked off. I now have to join paying a monthly fee! I was short by THREE visits. In the beginning of the year they emailed me and asked me to get a certain amount of visits or I'd be suspended, I then made sure to get those visits done and it was sorted. They now claim they emailed me on 3 September to again make up some more visits. I never received this email. Why would I receive every other email from them, even the one in the beginning of the year with regards to my gym membership, but not the last one? It is because they want to bully you off the 2010 contract that you signed!! If you enter the gym with your ID number it does not count as a visit, where did they tell us this!?!?
