For the past 6 years we have been staying at the then North Beach hotel and were very impressed. This has been highlighted in reviews that I also put up on Trip Advisor. This year however we have been disappointed from the 1st day.

The room was only ready at 15:50, almost 2hrs after check-in time and even after my wife received unapologetic bad attitude from Moosa.

After the new redesign of the rooms and bathrooms in the Superior Doubke rooms, there is very little cupboard space. This has been taken up by the separate shower. The old shower in the bath tub was fine! Bring back the cupboards!!!

The real deal-breaker though for most of the Muslim guests at this time of the year would be the doing away of the separate Muslim dining hall for breakfast. That was the single biggest factor why Muslims would book at these hotels and after careful observation at the current dining hall (Panini) the risk of cross-contamination of the halaal and non-halaal food is too high.

After speaking to many friends, family and other muslim guests at the hotel this year, the concerns are the same and we would all prefer other self-catering accommodation in future. I have raised this issue with Mario.
