No catering for vegetarians
There was no mention to us that there are options for vegetarian dishes. I know the facility is renowned for excellent pork products, but most surely something can be done for someone that does not eat meat. Therefore, one of the guests could not eat, I find this unacceptable.
Lighter meals on offer other than the set menu
I agree that the set menu from a business perspective makes absolute sense. But, most surely there must be an option to take something lighter than a three course meal. Some people just do not eat that much. Therefore, one of the other guests did not eat due to the fact that she would probably have some of the Hors d'Oeuvres, but nothing else at R 165.00 it was not an option.
Quality of the meal
Two guests had the pork shoulder and two guests had the lamb. Just to indicate that we had all intentions to have a good time. The veggies and patato on my plate was under cooked. This is shocking to say the least. I spoke to two of the other guests afterwards and they had the same sentiment.
This was one of the worst experiences I had to endure in a restaurant in a long time. R165.00 for poor service and quality - unacceptable
