Upon making a reservation, we were informed that my guests and I could come in and eat off the menu a la carte, No additional charges or terms and conditions were explained to us. On arrival, myself and 13 guests, we were given no choice but to order off a set menu, we were later informed that we would be charged for the additional 6 guests who did not arrive, despite us informing the waiter that only 14 people were present. After an argument ensuing with the Manager Joe, it transpired that his waiter had been at fault by insisting that we eat off a set menu & then only did he charge our bill for the number of guests present.
We also had to pay R250, for the restaurant's entertainment, which we did not request but which was supposed to be provided by them. Upon sending the Manager a letter of complaint, he responded with a sarcastic, distasteful, unprofessional email, stating that my complaints were far fetched, he denied certain statements made by him & made false accusations of my guests of taking away all the additional platter of food, when none of us took a stitch of food. This level is bad attitude and unprofessionalism from Joe Manachie is pathetic!
