On thursday 21 November I started experiencing cramps and bleeding, to a point where my partner took me to the emergency rooms at Life Entabeni Hospital, where they refused to admit me to their hospital as i was told they have no Gynaecologists.
I then went to Saint Augustines Hospital where I got help. Im now claiming the amount through the Discovery Health claim method and I just get a statement saying 332 (Your plan does not cover these treatments or tests. You need to pay this amount.
What upsets me is that I sent in a motivation letter, that details that this was an Emergency in the middle of the night. I know that Discovery health covers at least 70% of claims once their Medical review team has looked at a claim. "But this wasnt forwarded to the MRT until i called this morning to ask why im getting a 332 code on my claim"
I had to call the call centre, and the guy said he would forward it to the Medical review team (WHY WASNT THIS DONE IN THE 1ST PLACE)
Very upset, to get this ind of treatment from my medical aid after having a horrific miscariage.
