We had booked for my dad's 60th at Ntida wine farm. Our booking was for 9am, and upon arriving at the restaurant, the table was not set up so our 20 guests had to stand around. There was a massive noise which prevented our guests from being able to hear even the person next to them. When I asked the manager she said it was scheduled maintenance (which they had NOT informed us of when making the booking). This was in any case not factually correct. The noise was from a plaster skimmer and was because they were still cleaning up from the previous night's function. This lasted 45 mins where our guests could not talk to each other. Our waitress did not smile once, nor did she or the waiter have any manners. Our first order for drinks never arrived. Half our R60 breakfasts arrived without mushrooms and sausage and these had to be brought to our guests seperately, sometimes arriving after our guests had finished their breakfasts. We had to pour our own champagne. I had to clear plates and cups from our table between our meal and our cake being cut. All-in-all, my worst experience at a restuarant ever, made even more disappointing because they ruined my dad's 60th birthday celebration.
