I would like to find out how long a first time application takes for the Blue Door medical aid?
I was introduced to the medical aid by a colleague who had highly recommended it and as I urgently wanted to get my new baby daughter on a medical aid, my colleague put me in contact with a broker who assisted me in applying.
I sent my information and documents through on 28/29 October 2013, whereupon i was advised that my application would be processed. I was then later requested to provide a 3 month bank statement and 3 month salary advice which i did on 11/12 November 2013 and was advised the application would be finalised by the latest 15 November 2013. It is now 19 November 2013 and i still not received any confirmation of my joining or any feedback whatsoever.
Whet is the normal length of time for an application? is 3 weeks normal? i have never had a medical aid before and just want to ensure that my child has cover if she needs it. I would greatly appreciate if Fedhealth Blue Door could provide me with some clarity with regard to the matter as I am tired of being hopeful checking emails everyday and not receiving a response. Please could you give me some clarity?
