I am absolutely shocked and disgusted by the service received at Table View Medicross last night. They advertise that they are open until 8pm. My partner had a bad ear infection and we arrived there just past 7 last night. We were informed by reception that the doctor on duty would only see emergencies as the medical aids didnt pay for after hours rates. (They apparently cant charge more). What is the point of being open. The plan we are on with Camaf only allows us to use Medicross. After a half hour argument with the staff, they said if we paid up front, the doctor would see her. Is this what Medicross has come to? Money before patient care?? And the attitude of the staff and the doctor on duty (Dr Barker) stank!!! There was no notification up and this had apparently been decided at 3pm yesterday. (Incidentally we got there at 19:20 one evening last week and they were closed)! If you can't offer a decent after hours service, then close at 6pm and be done with it. I would like to know what is going to be done about this.
