NO AUTHORISATION ALLOWED FOR AN ACCIDENT

My husband who is a dependent on my medical aid, had a car accident on 6th June 2013. The paramedics could not get him to hospital due to unavailibility to contact me. Eventually he stated if the systoms persisted he would see the doctor the next day which he did. It was confirmed that there was bruising, a bit of whiplash and due to the nature of the impact a previous hernia repair split open. The doctor referred my husband to a specialist.
We have now received advisement that corrective surgary take place tomorrow Wednesday 2 July 2013, it was confirmed that no authorisation is given. The reason being that no info was given on a previous history of hernia. This is incorrect, 9 months ago, I personally declared that the last hernia op took place on 17 December 2010. This problem would not have occurred if he were not in an accident. Please note the car was a 'write off'.
