During the past few months my wife has been having severe abdominal pains, nausea, keeps vomitng and severe headaches. We ended up consulting our family doctor who did tests including a pregnancy test which was negative. He then said it could be food poisining and gave my wife pills and an injection. A few days later the symptoms began and we went back to consult. The doctor then reffered us to a gynaecologist. I then called the medical aid to inform them. To my supprise I was told that my wife can only see the gynaecologist if she was pregnat or hospitalised. I then asked should we wait for her to be critical and the response was yes. I feel angry because I never skip my payments and don't abuse my medical aid and this is what I'm paying for. What is the point of having this worthless scheme if so I want to take this to the medical counsel for advice as I have to pay for a scheme which is like a public service scheme where they advice us to see gorvnment doctors? Please advice as if my wife becomes worse I am going to take this the legal route. In the meantime whatever condition my wife has will continue to be worse
