REFUSE TO PAY HOSPITAL BILL

Good day, I am writing this complaint on behalf of my mother. She was hospitalised on 23 April 2013 after a Specialist saw her. Her skin colour was yellow and her liver was swollen. The Specialist asked for a sonar and a scan. She was discharged on the 25 April 2013. Nelspruit Mediclinic phoned me and told me the Medical Aid - Hosmed is refusing to settle the account. When my mother joined the Medical Aid she stipulated that she had a heart attack in February 2012 and that she have high blood pressure. After they accepted her we got the member ship document stating the following waiting periods: General-3 months, Cardiac-12 months and Hypertension-12 months. Early this year my mother was admitted to hospital because she was dehydrated and poisoned by some medication, and kidney failure. While she was in hospital the doctor found out that she had another heart attack. So we had to settle the hospital bill. When she was in hospital now, it was nothing to do with the heart and the medical aid is refusing to settle the account. Could you please assist us with this matter and tell us what we can do.
