I write this on behalf of my mother, who is 80 years old. She contacted The Appliance Lady to get her old and faithful washing machine repaired. R300 call out fee R3960 work done, R300 tap replaced and R600 to fix pipes. In total R5160 to fix a washing machine... But besides that, the two men that did the work two of her cheques, forged her signature and tried to cash a cheque of R6000 at the bank in Phoenix, luckily the bank was alert and contacted my mom, and the cheque was stopped, as well as the other cheque that was out of the cheque book. She went to the Police Station and the two men were there, handed back her one cheque and begged for forgiveness, as it was not them that the cheques it was the drugs!!! None the less having my mom being violently sick from stress for three days I seriously think that this company should be reported and stopped from operating their business. The only reason why the case was not pursued is because my mom, at 80 could not see herself sitting in court trying to defend her self against. This is a disgusting occurrence and I hope this serves as a warning to other people out there.
