I have my own small business and my clients pay by cheque. When I take the cheques to the bank I always request special clearance that should clear my cheque within 4 days. I get charges R95 for special clearance but I have to wait 7 days. I have complaint about it to the branch manager but it still happens.
When special clearance is requested by standard bank they should request the clearance from the bank that issued the cheque and this request never happens.
I feel if I pay for special clearance it is for a reason, but I am not getting the service I pay for and I am not getting satisfaction with complaining about it. I feel if I pay the R95 and it takes 7 days for the cheque to be cleared the bank should not take my money.
