Samsung S3 not charging - only got it February

I have a major problem with my Samsung S3 phone not charging. I have no phone because I can't get it to charge. It charger 20% when left the whole night on the charger. My husband's S3 also have this problem. He also got his phone in February. We switched chargers and cables and nothing works. I got it from Secunda Vodacom only February on a 2year contract. I visited them today and they offered to send my phone away. They said it could take 3-8 weeks. I cannot go that long without my S3 as I store valuable things on my phone and I can't loose risking any of it. I also can't do my work properly without it. Sending it away is not an option. I am very frustrated as I see this is a common problem among S3's with little or no solutions. I need help urgently - I can't function another year and 4 months with a phone like this. If I do send it away and they find that it must be replaced (so I loose everything after being without the phone for weeks), how can I be sure that the new Samsung won't also have this problems after a few months? Just to go through all the trouble again.
