I got my Galaxy S4 5 months ago. I was super excited to get my hands on the "best smart phone in the world", although carrying a hefty price tag. All this excitement has however turned into utter disappointment. My battery is swollen, it heats up, after charging it to full, you can only take one photo, then the battery is dead. On my recent vacation I ended up only taking a handful op photo's, putting a major damper on my vacation. I cant even put the back cover on as the swollen battery distorts the screen. I was shocked to see how many people locally and internationally is experiencing exactly the same problem. Samsung has acknowledged the widespread swelling problems with the S4 battery (manufactured in China - the Korean battery seems to be fine). Samsung stated that the faulty batteries can be exchanged free of charge. In South Africa however they want to try and cash in on their own mistake and let us buy new batteries. I am utterly disgraced in the turn of events as my S4 is now just a expensive useless handset.
