I took my Phillips LCD tv to be repaired at Mastercare in November 2012. Long story short, they were waiting for parts that no longer exist. I only realized this after I had been phoned to pick up my tv 3 times, being told it was ready for collection. When I got there, I was told that it wasn't actually ready. I paid for the repair the first time I was told that the tv was ready. Cost me, R1300.

When I eventually spoke to the manager, he tried to sell me a TV with lower specs than my original TV. I was told that I could buy this TV for R1000 on top of the R1300 that I had already paid. Since it was a downgrade from my broken TV, I was told that I would be called in a few days with better options. I haven't been called back.

Something else that was annoying; my number changed and I spoke to Mastercare 4 times and went to their store 3 times before they changed my details.
