Mastercare Earlybird
BULLYING

I just received a letter of demand from attorneys, for a bumper bashing that occurred in January with an Early Bird delivery vehicle. The accident occurred when the early bird van cruised through a yield sign, as though it was clear to go. A few metres after that he slammed on brakes, when realising there was a car coming after all. The damage to his car was MINIMUM and virtually undetectable. The driver took responsibility and apologised. We exchanged details but he said not to worry, because it wasn't my fault and they were insured etc...

Today, more than SIX MONTHS LATER, I receive a lawyer's letter, placing all the blame on me and demanding the following:

Kindly be advised that this letter constitutes the due demand in terms of the Prescribed Rate of interest Act, as amended, and accordingly the aforesaid sum of R4 936.21 plus interest at the rate of 15.5% is due owing and payable from date hereof. Kindly be advised further that should this matter not be settled within 5 days (five days) from date hereof, we shall precede with the issue and service of summons.
against you.

I FEEL BULLIED. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE FROM EARLY BIRD CONTACT ME??
