I Bought the Amp 9 months ago from Sounds Great with 1 year guarantee, after 4 months the Video HDMI port stopped working (everything else was still working). I took is in and a 2 week repair inspection proses was explained. After two weeks nothing! I visited the shop and phoned the shop at least every two weeks with no response. After 3 months in December 2012 visiting the shop it was explained that the small part needed to repair the Amp is on backorder, but one week is needed to wait for the part. In January 2013 (4 months after taking in the Amp) I phoned the manager witch informed me that the Amp was damaged beyond repair (by lightning) and that I have to claim from insurance. After I explained that I cannot claim for something that might have happened 4 months ago the manager offered to change the date on the receipt in order to make the insurance claim. I explained that I will not be dishonest to my insurance! He sends me a quotation of R9000 to replace the Amp, passing the bug to me and my insurance. If the two weeks service was on time, I could have claimed from my insurance in an honest way. Now it seems that the bad service from Sounds Great cost me R8000! Unfair!!
