Our AEG Competence Oven Door shattered and when calling AEG Customer Service, we were transferred no less than 10 times before finally arriving at their parts division. After supplying a model number we were informed that they do not keep the glass door in parts and are not prepared to order it in. This now leaves us in a position where we will have to purchase an entire oven unit because the glass door is broken. I find this bittely disappointing as we specifically purchase AEG as it is a good quality, recognised brand, however having said that, I see no point now as what does it help that they do not stock basic parts. The cost of a new AEG oven is far beyond my reach at this point as i have just had to replace my stove top (which I again replaced with an AEG glass top), and am not in a position to fork out for a new oven, especially considering there is actually nothing wrong with the existing one. So now I either sit with no oven or choose to buy from another supplier which will cost me considerably less. Alternatively, AEG could make the effort to actually offer customer service as would be expected from the well known brand and supply me with the parts I require.
