I purchased this unit on 15/08/2012. The auto potato and defrost functions ceased to function.
I returned the unit to Makro, in its original packaging on about 24th April, 3 weeks later I collected the unit. Upon plugging it in at home I discovered it had not been repaired. I then returned it to Makro on the 17th, some 85 k's away, where I was informed that there was no other avenue but to return the unit to Samsung.By now the packaging was damaged, the manual and original documentation were missing. More than 3 weeks later I was informed by Strini from Makro that the unit had been returned to them and that he personally had tested it. Well, surprise, surprise, the potato function is still not working. During this period I received two phone calls from Samsung's "happy consultants" to whom I complained and who promised to look into the matter and come back to me. What a joke! Samsung's attitude in relation to this matter has been unsatisfactory. Almost every appliance in my home is a Samsung, rest assured, I will definitely be looking elsewhere in future.
