I have a LG dvd recorder which I gave in at MMR Electronics in Port Elizabeth for repairs a few months ago. It cost me R1200. for the repairs and I received a 6 month guarantee. Within the 6 months period the same problem is back (it does not want to play discs which plays perfectly on another LG dvd recorder as well as on a LG dvd player). I took it back to MMR Electronics and was informed that I will have to pay for labour. I then spoke telephonically to someone at LG Electronics (Jhb) who informed me that under the guarantee they supply the parts to MMR Electronics and that I should negotiate with MMR Electronics regarding the labour charges. The owner of MMR Electronics tehn informed me that they give a 3 months guarantee on labour and as we are outside of the 3 months period, labour will be charged: R360. I feel that between LG Electronics and MMR Electronics they should also cover the labour charges, since I previously paid R1200. and received a 6 month guarantee, surely if you believe in your product and quality workmanship, this problem should not have happened again and I should not be paying for it again, inside the 6 months period of first repairs and guarantee date.
