Samsung S3 Poor Quality

A month or two ago I renewed my contract with Vodacom and decided that I would get the Samsung Galaxy S3 and see what the media was raging about. Unfortunately, 2 weeks later I misplaced the phone. But that is not the problem, the problem comes in where we upgraded another one of our contracts 2 weeks ago and got a Brand new S3 to replace my old one, and after only 2 weeks my screen touch stopped responding and then just went black. I went into the Vodacom repair center to get it replaced under warranty, only to be told that it will not be replaced under warranty because there is "physical damage to the screen" and that I would have to pay R2000 for it's repair. I did not understand this logic, because the phone operates entirely by touching the screen. So I am now without a phone. This is my first Samsung device, with this as my first impression, I will never again purchase anything from them, and I will advise my friends and family not to either. In addition if my problem does not get solved I will pull my contracts from Vodacom and take my business elsewhere. The quality of the product from Samsung and service from Vodacom is far beyond poor.
