I work for a blue chip company and was awarded a long service gift voucher to the value of R3500 at Builders Warehouse. I stopped at the branch closest to where I live i.e. the Bedworthpark branch. I decided to purchase Xmas gifts with the voucher, and upon presenting the voucher to the till operator it was found to have a zero balance. The store frontline supervisor Mogadie was very helpful and did a computer search to find that the voucher was used at the Tygerberg branch. I haven't even been to Tygerberg in my lifetime. The store supervisor at the Tygerberg branch could not trace these purchases either. I was advised to pay for my purchases with my credit card which would be refunded until they continue with investgations on Tuesday, which I did. I have advised my attorneys of this incident and will await the outcome on Tuesday. My networks of access to the media have also offered to publish this incident should no immediate resolution be found.
