Shoking card swiping facilities, unreliable atm!

Three times this week, on different days I was unable to make purchases as their card swiping facilities were offline. For a service station located in a metropolitan area, this is an enormous inconvinience because most people including myself make use of our debit or credit cards for purchase. In their store, they do have an an atm which they expect customers to 'just' use on their frequent OFFLINE days. To top it off, the very same in-store atm customers are expected to use is highly unreliable due to the fact that in December 2012, my mom withdrew from the very same ATM, resulting in her bank card being swallowed by the atm machine, in addition she did not even receive the money she withdrew and that too disappeared with her card! Shell garage Katherine street, this is despicable service and you bring shame to the meaning of convenience. How are your card facilities frequently off line in such a busy area? And WHERE did my mother's bank card AND money disappear to? Very angry customer.
