I live 2 min from the garage and have numerous episodes with this service station. for a branded service station their card machine works 2 times out of 10. the staff insist on swiping the card 1st before actually filling any fuel. a few weeks ago i was at the garage at around 7.30 pm when the attendant swiped my card and insisted it declined, however i received an sms notification and he insisted on swiping the card again which i refused. i called my bank and they confirmed the transfer on funds which i had reversed because there was so superior on duty who could assist.
this morning i got to the garage to fill up - 1st question was cash or card - i replied card and the gentleman told me that the card machine only works after 8am.
i find this very unprofessional and im quite sure im not the only 1 who feels that way. the staff or swiping units needs to be updated.
