As per the invoice received, I have been charged R114 for refuelling. I returned the vehicle with a full fuel tank and I also informed the attendant that I gave the keys to that the car was fuelled up.
I contacted Tempest to enquire and was told that all cars are fuelled up "as a courtesy to the next driver".
I am not satisfied with the explanation provided as I fuelled the car before handing it in. The fuel attendant filled it completely, until the tank could not take anymore. When I handed the car in, it was completely full, and there is hardly any distance between the garage and the airport. It is therefore impossible that there could still have been space for more than 8 litres of fuel in that car.
I'm not at all happy with the service and in future I will ensure that I use other, more reputable car rental companies who do not try cheat and swindle their customers. Very disappointing indeed.
