A family member was very interested in buying a landrover from Signature motors last week. However, it been a cash deal, they needed to apply for additional cash from their homeloan. It was at first no issue, but after the next day the sales lady has phoned them insisting on a R2000 refundable holding deposit. No paperwork was signed for the deposit and it was electronically paid over. The bank however has not approved the loan. The sales lady tried to convince them to try other means of loan approval (the customer is a pensioner), but they have made it a case of prayer and did not want to take it any further. We were promised that the deposit will be returned, but now owner refuses and said we must try and make him!
Does it sound that they are honest Christian bussiness men? You take willingly money from pensioners, with the promise that it is refundable and then you refuse to return it! I have noticed that they are a company that does not respond to complaints - I wonder why? Hopefully this warns every prospective buyer not to buy from you!
