I hired 2 vehicles for 5 days from Tempest through Travelstart at the end of 2013. I paid in full and also paid for insurance (glass and tyres damage included). I collected both vehicles on 25/12/2013 at 8h45 and paid R2, 000 for a fuel deposit.
One vehicle was returned on 29/12/2013 at 16h00 and the lease of the other vehicle was extended for 3 days.
The second vehicle was returned on 1/1/2014 at 16h00.
I noticed that two additional amounts of R270.90 and R1292.80 were debited against my credit card.
I received one invoice showing that I was incorrectly charged for an additional day rent as well as insurance and admin fee. (R809.00)
I have not yet received the other invoice but from the amount on my credit card it is clear that I was overcharged again.
It seems as if Tempest Car Hire overcharge their clients and then wait to see if they receive queries.
