I filled up here on Friday and when I paid with my card, according to the attendant the transaction was declined (I showed him and his manager that according to my SMS, App Notification and Email that the transaction had gone through) they insisted that since the fuel was already in my car I had to put the transaction through again. I confirmed with Roderik (apparently the manager) that if I did so, and the transaction was not reversed that I could get hold of them and they would refund me the money. Today I have confirmed with FNB that there was a double charge, and contacted the garage to have the transaction reversed as committed. I was informed that they would not do this unless I appear at the service station with my bank statements (I have confirmed with FNB that both amounts have been taken). The manager on duty has refused to give me the owner Johan's contact details. I am shocked to have been treated like this, firstly being bullied into making two payments, and then secondly instead of the commitment I was given at the time, I am being forced to drive to this garage to prove their.
