Billed R4000 for a 2day rental

I rented a car on the 2nd of January from the Umtata europcar branch. The rental was initially in my dads name but we decided to change it to my name because he could not find his credit card and were rushing off because we were bereaved. The agreement was a deposit of R2500 and rental for the 2days of about R600 and 200km per day (free) but on the system they apparently have something else per the call centre. Looking at my credit card statement an amount of R5656.90 was deducted on the 3rd of Jan and on the 8th R435.28 was returned. I called central reservations and they told me to go to the branch I rented the car from but how can I go to the branch when I live in PE? So I called the branch instead and they told me to call East London because authorisation is done in East London or something like that. I called East London and no one answerd the phone instead my call was being passed from 1 department to the next at the expense of my airtime which ran out. Now I don't know what to do, I need answers because I have been charged ova R4000 for a rental of 2days and no1 is available to tell me were my money went. The car was returned with a full tank on time, what happend Eruropcar?
