Shocking service!

After an attempt to my car, my insurer (First for Women) had the vehicle towed to Auto Magic on 8 November 2013 for repairs. I subsequently received a text message saying that the proposed delivery date would be 22 November and I will be updated on the progress. After several calls made to Auto Magic it was the one delay after the other, excuses ranged from ordering of the wrong part to power outages. Followed by apologies and undertakings that they were doing their very best. On Friday 13 Dec I got a call saying I could collect my vehicle. On arrival I'm told that I have to transfer the excess of R4 200 before my keys will be handed to me. News to me since my insurer said that I only had to pay once I'm completely satisfied. Julie from Auto Magic says the insurer doesn't always do a proper job of explaining this to customers. After paying I'm handed a key that looks extremely old, why, since they claim to have fitted a new ignition? My boot doesn't open and the central locking doesn't work. Julie blames VW and when I ask why they didn't check, she admits that they should have. Auto Magic will gladly take your money but won't deliver! And I'm back to waiting!
