A year ago I had bad service from Imperial Select Northcliffe. I had assumed it was just that particular branch which was not run properly, so when I found a car in October at Imperial Select Meadowdale, Edenvale, I didn't hesitate. Big mistake! Firstly, I was sold a 5 year/90000 km service contract for over R5300. I subsequently discovered that the car ALREADY HAD THIS IDENTICAL SERVICE CONTRACT. I requested cancellation and refund. They deducted a CANCELLATION FEE. Surely this isn't right as it should not have been sold to me in the first place! I have been trying to get the - R800 refunded with no response. Secondly, the spare key. They 'couldn't find it' when i collected the car. They tried all the spare keys they had, with no luck. I was told I would have to pay for a new one - I told them that it is Imperial's responsibility as the paperwork from the previous owner/dealer states that there was a spare key. I have had no feedback on this either. And finally, I do not have the licence papers, although they have informed me that they have now found these.
