Crankworx King CC did a overhaul of the engine on my Opel Corsa 1.4 sport in Aug '12 for which the guarantee offered was 1 Year or 20 000 kms. When I took the vehicle back late Dec '12 with problems with the car (well within parameters of warranty) white smoke from the exhaust and it was using a lot of oil, I was told the problems had nothing to do with the work originally perfomed.
Mauro informed me that the vehicle had overheated due to my negligent driving and therefore the warranty was not valid. I was extremely conscientious of water & oil and there had been no indication of the vehicle overheating. A independent party looked at the engine and informed me that there was no signs of overheating and even though he could not look at the engine (so the warranty would not fall away) the problem was the original overhaul. Mauro proceeded to duck and dive and avoid contact with me for approx 3 weeks. At my suggestion to take the car to the AA for independent assessment, at my cost, he refused saying warranty would fall away. I feel this was indicative of shoddy workmanship on the part of Crankworx King CC. The warranty offered was not worth the paper it was written on!
