I visited Hyundai Strydom Park on 07/09/2013 and was assisted by Johan. We were interested in a new Hyundai IX35 and by Monday, 9th I had sent all my documents through and Johan confirmed I was approved by Westbank (note: I was already approved by Boksburg the week before but they didnt have the colour I wanted). Johan promised to have the accessories fitted and the car ready for collection by the 17th, only to inform me on the afternoon of the 17th that Westbank rejected the deal because he discounted the car. He didnt offer to correct his mistake and resubmit (I dont mind not getting the discount) - his only response to me was "perhaps I can help you in a year or two". I went to Hyundai Weltevreden Park who phoned Strydom Park to see if they could pull the vehicle for me and do the deal however according to Strydom Park, the Steel grey IX they had was already sold. How is that possible? Is it sheer coincidence Strydom Park ran a promotion the weekend before on all new car purchases: was MY car in fact sold the week before?? This takes shoddy sales to a whole new level. I had the priviledge to be assisted by The Glen who were incredible and I am now driving my new IX.
