My husband is a factory worker who is not educated and cannot read the fine prints. Yesterday he was involved in a car accident. The towing company came out of the blue to assist. The guy who helped said if he takes the car to Orange Farm, it will be more expensive than taking it to their storage. Being frustrated and helpless as he was, he took his advise and allowed him to tow it to their premises. the guy did not read the terms and conditions at the back of the page and just made him sign as if there are no other obligation. I feel this is a rip off as he was aware my husband Andries Dlamini is not clued up with these kinds of things.
Today when he calls the company he is been told to bring R6000.00 if he wants his car. Security and storage and all other costs were never disclosed to him. This is taking advantage of vulnerable people and making money out of the poor.
I advised him to go to the loan to get the money to fetch the car because it means everyday it will be increasing so we can fight for refund after.
