I was in a accident on the 27th of July. A1 Assist was obviously quickly on the scene as these vultures normally are. Being an accident we do not focus properly and just think about getting your passengers to safety or a hospital. My fiance was injured in the accident and needed to be taken to the hospital via ambulance. At the same time these skelm towtruck drivers from A1 Assist kept hanging around and wanted our details so that they can take my vehicle. After the ambulance left I was told that A1 Assist will take my vehicle to their yard the insurance company (Miway) will cover all the costs. I was never informed of how much the towing and storage fees will be and at the scene of an accident these vultures take advantage of people as they know they just want to get to their injured loved ones. I was assured Miway will cover the towing and storage fees.2 Days later, R6000 fees already!!! Thats daylight. And my vehicle is written off so the fees are now more than R8000 and Miway still havent paid out almost a month later. I wont pay R8000 for scrap thats written off just to take it out where its standing. Thats how A1 make money. It's Unlawfull and unethical and just wrong
