I was Conned by a C.A.S Towing and Recovery Agent named Benny (Vehicle registration number NUZ6957). I got into a car accident on Sunday Morning (24 November 2013) at around 03:30ish. I was in shock for a bit and the first thing I did was to call my parents. they came to fetch me within 5 minutes (I was almost home when the accident happened). After my parents returned to the car, three towing vans from C.A.S Towing were parked by the car. They spoke to my parents and Benny asked them whether the car was insured. My parents said yes and told him it was insured with IWYZE. Benny then said they work with them then he pretended to make a fone call to IWYZE. After the fone call he said the insurance has given them the authorization to tow the car away. They gave the slip to my father to sign and towed the car away. The following morning, after a warning from a family member about what these companies do, I called IWYZE to check and they told me that they do not have C.A.S Towing on their database. I went to C.A.S the follong day and I got bad attitude from people there. they charged me R6 207.30 and I paid by protest. this was misrepresentation on their part and I want my money back.
