I live in Cape Town and found a car on Autotrader for sale from The Glen VW in JHB. I phoned to enquire about the vehicle and spoke to Johannes Mpela (Salesperson). I asked a lot of questions as i was obviously unable to come and view the car and Johannes assured me that the car was checked by the workshop and everything was 100%. I flew up to JHB to collect the car after paying for it in full. I then drove the car down to Cape Town and immediately upon hitting the open road i found that there was something wrong and the car wouldn't rev over 4000rpm??? I thought it was something small and carried on to Cape Town as the dealership was now closed and I had to be back at work. I immediately contacted the sales manager Mark Adams to inform him of this. After 3 months of leaving messages and e-mails i still sit with a STUFFED MOTOR and no response from Mark or the dealer principle Paul Boyce. I call everyday about 5 times a day and they refuse to return my calls or answer my e-mails. I now have no choice but to take this to the motor industry ombudsman and possibly get lawyers involved when all I want is a WORKING CAR!!!
