When I received the rental from Avis Centurion, there were a lot of bodywork damages - I clearly pointed it out- This was recorded and I also have a copy of all the damages the car has.
I took back the car on the 24th of August, with a full tank petrol, the Avis employee told me the bumper is damaged.
I had him get the damage report of how the car was damaged, he insisted that it didnt have the damage on then that it apparently has now.
He refused to let me sign the car back in - so my deposit of R750 was taken by Avis right there.
He tried to make me sign an accident form not filled in - I read the T&Cs on the form.
ONLY by signing that form I would have agreed that I have caused damages to the vehicle and Avis can hold me liable and debit my account.
I DID NOT sign.
I received an sms today from Avis - Avis is going to debit my bank acc for damages.
I NEVER signed the accident form authorising you to do this.
Trying to force me sign a blank accident form already constitutes. So does the refusal to let me sign the car in.
I ontacted my lawyer regarding civil proceedings.
Touch my bank account and will be added to the case I am opening at the SAPS
