IN fEB 2013- car was taken in to have repairs done due to a truck swerving into it - my insurance alexander forbes arranged for cire hire which I picked up from AVIS ORT - having used this car hire service I'm constantly reminded on when to return the vehicle... however this time I had no feedback, no call backs, no updates whatsoever from AVIS until I finally get a call from AVIS saying my hired car is due back on the very same day at the AVIS branch and I must pay R7000!!! Why should I be liable for Avis incompetence and not doing their job... I think not!!! and to top it all I returned the car with a full tank of petrol and I had R750 deducted from my credit card... this is completely unacceptable!!
