I bought a brand new car from Volkswagen Highlands cc in 2011. When the Stan guy arrived in Town he demanded that I give him 600 cash for a vw insurance, (even though I had my own insurance), otherwise he would go back with my car. It was my first car purchase and I was lured into paying that money to him. I shortly realised that my insurance fees were being debited as expected by my then insurer shortly after my car arrived, and that the Stan guy was just me of the money. I called the guy and he told me he does not have the money, and that I would have to call another guy, who he also claimed is called "Stan" at their head office, and that he himself could not help me. I called the Other Stan for no response.
About my car registration, I was told my car would be registered and would only need to come collect my number plates in a week or so. After my car was delivered in Phalaborwa and some time had elapsed, these guys never called me back. I had to call them back time and again and they eventually told me that they do not register cars for their customers, and that they only register cars for customers staying in the Mpumalanga province. I had to register it myself.
