I bought a new Kia Rio from Kia Roodepoort in January '13. I took my vehicle in for the 1st service at Kia Sandton where I requested that they attend to a cracking noise on the dash (sounds like plastic rubbing together). They have encountered the same problem before on a Rio and said it would take 2 days to fix and they knew exactly what to do. I requested a courtesy car as I need a vehicle due to the nature of my job, but due to their "policy" I was not entitled to this as I did not purchase my car from the Sandton branch, so not their problem.
I contacted Kia Roodepoort and explained my situation and had to phone them back 3 times due to no response from their side. They eventually came back to me and said they can't assist with a courtesy vehicle either. Courtesy vehicles are only given to customers with real problems...
This is a real problem to me as I spend an excess of 5 hours per day in my car with this noise that is obviously a manufacturing defect.
