I handed my 2011 model Accent for 60k service and complained of a noise in the engine. The car was re-booked for inspection and I was advised that the engine would have to be removed and it might be a piston 'knock'. all in all the repair could take a month. However, in that time, I would not be able to get a courtesy vehicle as they were on a backlog! Hoping to get some assistance from the service manager, I was advised by him that they do not have a courtesy vehicle policy - although they do have three courtesy vehicles which are booked!!! DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? They could let me continue to run with the faulty vehicle until a courtesy car becomes available. What happens if I break down with this faulty car?
And as for the courtesy car policy, what kind of product is this that has to have the engine removed after 60k due to a piston "knock'? What happens to a car owner who is has no other transport?
BAD SERVICE and BAD ATTITUDE
