An accident happened on 30 April 2013 between their rental vehicle and my husbands bakkie. The driver of the rental vehicle was at fault. We got all his details and a statement from an eye witness and reported it to the police. I phoned Dollar Thrifty Car Rental - Airport branch in CT to ask what the procedure was. I was told someone would contact me. No one did. I phoned in JHB and spoke to Kelly in the claims department who was very helpful and assured me someone from CT would call me back. She asked me to email my complaint through to her which I did. Within 15 minutes, CT branch (Judy) phoned me and said that Medat from claims would contact me. Eventually an hour later I phoned him to find out what the process was. He was extremely rude and told me it's my problem I don't have insurance. I received a mail back from Karen Fransch saying they won't be entertaining our claim. Their driver says he was not at fault and they would be instituting a claim against my husband. I sent through an eye witness statement, photo of bakkie and police reference. Karen suggested I seek legal advise as they are sticking to their decision. How are decisions made without investigation?
