I recently visited Namibia and rented a car from Thrifty at Windhoek Airport.
Just to comment about the experience of renting a car from Thrifty, I was given a car that had a huge crack on the windscreen. I was then given a replacement vehicle (which I had to wait for as vehicle had to be fetched from depot). After all this, the GPS that was given to me did not work so I had to go back to the rental office and ask for another one. Through all this I remained perfectly patient and did not once raise my voice or complain about the inconvenience.
The only damages to the rental car upon me returning it was a missing wheel cap.
I confirmed with one of your employees and he said no more the R300 would be taken off my credit card for the replacement of the wheel cap (as per signed vehicle inspection form).
To my surprise I checked my credit card statements and I see that an amount of R4260-02 has been taken from my account by Thrifty, (a very expensive wheel cap).
Further more, I returned the vehicle with a full tank of petrol so that can not be used as an excuse as well.
I demand that your refund me the extra amount and or I will have no choice but to take this matter further.
