I rented a car from Budget and on the day I returned the car I had a flat tyre. Someone help me change the wheel and myself, my friend and this helper inspected the tyre and could see nothing wrong with it. After returning to Pretoria Budget subtracted R1477 from my credit account for a new tyre. As we rented a small Toyota Yaris I fail to understand how the new tyre could cost that much. They send me photos of a tyre, which surprise me, as 3 adults failed to see the damaged casing. I am however willing to pay for a new tyre, just to settle this dispute, but the exorbitant amount is shocking. i can supply you with the ongoing e-mail correspondence in this regard.
