Heard Cartime advertised on East Coast Radio, thought they would be reputable. My vehicle had broken down with an electronic fault, then presented with a knocking frm engine. Contacted Cartime to book in the car for assessment of 1. Electronic fault, 2. the Engine knock. Was given a ridiculous quote of R12500K for hydraulic lifters ancillary. Elected to go ahead with a major service only, replacement of oil pressure switch, at R1815. Qrd electronic fault, was told nothing found. After service, was overcharged, book stamped incorrectly as "maintenance service", received no Defects or 128-point check report as inferred on their website under a Major service, also got the car back with a new significant rattle frm rear shock, missing valve cap. Took spare wheel out to test, rattle still very evident. Car went back in; was advised that it was the spare wheel; when stating that I had removed it the knock was still there, the excuse changed to it being a loose exhaust tow hitch. On speaking to mechanic, no mention made of these, only that they were trying to find the problem. Car has since broken down twice for electronic fault, after a week of being at Cartime.
